Register Pay can integrate with a range of popular accounting packages, helping you keep your sales records up to date without manually entering your daily takings.
Supported accounting packages include:
- Xero
- QuickBooks
- Sage
- FreshBooks

π How Does the Integration Work?
Once configured, Register Pay will automatically submit your daily sales totals, broken down by tender type, to your chosen accounting package.
The integration runs shortly after midnight, submitting the previous day's trading along with any earlier transactions that have not yet been submitted. This helps ensure that transactions taken offline, for example, are included in a subsequent submission.
Example: If you trade on Tuesday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, your sales will typically be submitted to your accounting package on Wednesday between 00:00 and 01:00.
π§Ύ How Are Sales Recorded?
Typically, each day's sales will be sent to your accounting package as an Invoice, with refunds submitted separately as Credit Notes.
Depending on how you configure the integration, invoices and credit notes may be marked as either:
- Paid – The invoice or credit note is recorded as paid.
- Awaiting Payment – The invoice or credit note remains outstanding in your accounting package.
The appropriate setup will depend on your business and accounting processes. We recommend speaking with your accountant or bookkeeper before configuring the integration.

π‘ Before You Get Started
We recommend consulting your accountant or bookkeeper before setting up an accounting integration. They can help you choose the most appropriate settings for your business, particularly when mapping tax rates and deciding how invoices and credit notes should be recorded.
This will help ensure that your sales data is transferred in a way that aligns with your existing accounting processes.
